Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year

Dear Stratford High School Community,

Hello and welcome to Stratford High School.  As a product of the Stratford Public Schools, I can honestly say that it is my honor to begin my tenth year as Principal of this amazing school. The 2023-2024 school year was a record setting year for SHS. It was the 8th consecutive year that Stratford High School was named to the U.S. News Best High School Report.  While many factors go into this award, one of the reasons we have been blessed with this honor is because of the strong school/home partnership that we have created.  As we continue on the journey together, we need to share a belief that together we can do more.  

Stratford High School and our staff  believe that every student can and will be successful. We do this through our Instructional Focus, which is built on:  Cultivating Positive Relations, Data Driven Instruction and Intellectual Engagement.  Simply put, if we care about our students, meet them where they are academically, and push them to do better, then we can work together to ensure they become the best they can be.  

As we embark on the 2024-2025 school year, I urge you to talk to your children about the importance of school/class attendance and getting involved in school activities.  The time spent at Stratford High School can change lives and set all students up for future success.  Being present in school on a daily basis and being actively involved in our community, will only help ensure the success of all students.
