Visual Art Standards

1. Select and apply media and technology, techniques and procedures.

2. Apply the elements and organizational principles of art.

3. Consider, select, and apply a range of subject matter in the process of creating art.

4. Discuss and apply aesthetic principles and historical and cultural movements in the visual arts.

5. Describe, analyze, interpret and evaluate art work.

6. Make connections between the visual arts, other disciplines, and daily life.

7. Display appropriate discipline and interpersonal skills when working in an art environment.

Music Standards

Students should demonstrate the ability to:

1. Perform alone and with others a varied repertoire of music.

3. Display proper self-discipline in various music settings.

4. Read and notate music, and utilize music concepts.
