Bridges is a district wide program for students in grades 9-12 whose primary classification is predominantly intellectual disability. The program focuses on improving the academic and functional achievement of students to facilitate their transition from high school to post-secondary opportunities. BRIDGES offers specialized instruction in English, Math, and Functional Living Skills as well as Academic Support for general education classes. The program focuses on social skills, speech and language services, community experiences, pre-employment skills and the acquisition of daily living skills. Students also have the opportunity to attend general education classes as appropriate for electives, PE, and Health requirements for graduation.
