Whitney Student Council Creates 20 Soup Kits for Local Families. Eli Whitney Student Council demonstrated leadership, compassion, and community spirit through a schoolwide service project. Under the guidance of advisor Mrs. Scandurra, student leaders organized a building-wide collection to support families in need during the long weekend.

Thanks to the generosity of our entire Whitney community, students were able to assemble 20 complete Minestrone Soup Kits, to be dropped off at Sterling Community Center.

This project reflects Whitney’s commitment to helping students grow as compassionate and engaged community members, and serves as a powerful reminder of what we can accomplish when we come together.

We are incredibly proud of our Student Council, Mrs. Scandurra, and every staff member, student, and family who contributed to making this initiative a success.
