Students are awarded the opportunity to apply during their 8th grade year. This invitation is based on academic standing, leadership, character, and service in 7th grade. Potential members of NJHS must have grade point averages of 92.5 or higher and submit an essay as well as their completed application that outlines their volunteerism efforts. (Please be advised that students enrolled in Pre-Algebra or Algebra in grade 7 will be awarded 0.5 extra points when their grade averages are calculated.) Students must return their completed application by the date determined by the advisor.

Members of the Wooster’s Faculty Council will review all applications, teacher surveys, and interview data to determine membership.

Selected students are inducted in a ceremony during their 8th grade year.

Meetings are held monthly and focus on building leadership skills in school and the community.
