Principal's Message
Flood Principal, Mr. Greg Grigas
Welcome to Harry B. Flood Middle School, We are excited to share the middle school experience with your family. At Flood, we encourage our children to demonstrate the core values of our motto S.O.A.R. each and every day. Children are expected to be Safe, Organized, Accountable and Respectful as they participate in the school day. We truly believe that if a child feels Safe, can Organize their time and tasks, is Accountable for their actions and Respectful to staff and peers, they will have a positive middle school experience. As a staff, we strive to provide a rigorous learning environment in which all children are challenged and engaged. In addition to your child’s academic progress, we also prioritize their social-emotional learning as well. We view the educational experience of each child as a partnership between the child, family and the school, with communication as a critical piece of the partnership. We welcome your input, feedback, thoughts, and ideas and encourage families to participate in their child’s education.
Looking forward to a great year,

We value the input of our families and hope you will take a few minutes to complete the survey. -**On January 27th, we will be piloting a new attendance reporting procedure at Flood. Families will now be able to report an absence in PowerSchool rather than calling the school. On a typical day our office staff listens to 20+ voicemails and then inputs the information in PowerSchool, this new procedure will streamline the process. For the 3rd marking period, until March 28th, you will still be able to call in, after that we will move to PowerSchool only for reporting. Directions for the new system can be found below in English and Spanish, if you have any questions please let us know.
