engagement

I am thrilled to share the wonderful experiences I observed this week alongside our reading specialists during interactive reading lessons!

Our teachers have been deeply engaged in studying the Science of Reading, and it’s truly inspiring to see their learning come to life in the classroom. The goal of these lessons is to develop students' oral language fluency, and we are excited about the incredible progress they are making.

How You Can Help at Home:
Parents play a key role in nurturing their child’s oral language development. Here are a few simple ways you can support learning at home:

  • Read aloud together regularly.

  • Ask open-ended questions about the story to spark meaningful conversations.

  • Encourage your child to express their thoughts and ideas.

  • Introduce your child to a new word each day—this is a wonderful way to expand their vocabulary!

If you would like new books for your home library or tips on literacy strategies to use at home, please don’t hesitate to reach out to any member of our team—we’re here to help!
