On Monday, November 13, Franklin Elementary School proudly hosted a heartfelt Veterans Day Celebration to honor the brave men and women who served our country. The event recognized 19 veterans, celebrating their sacrifices and dedication with an afternoon filled with gratitude, music and art.
The celebration began with a special luncheon for the veterans, giving students and staff an opportunity to personally thank them for their service. Following the lunch, 6th grade students escorted the veterans to the gym. Students performed patriotic songs taught by our talented music teacher, Mrs. Coletti, showcasing their heartfelt appreciation through music. Adding to the tribute, beautiful artwork created by students during art classes with Mr. Maignan was displayed and given to the veterans.
This meaningful event was a testament to Franklin Elementary Schools commitment to teaching students the importance of honoring and respecting those who serve. Thank you to all the veterans who joined us and to the teachers, students, and staff who made this celebration possible!
