Mrs. Sansone's First Grade class and Mrs. Puglisi's Second Grade class recently combined creativity and Thanksgiving spirit in a memorable project inspired by the book Balloons Over Broadway. After reading the beloved story about the history of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, the students designed and crafted their own unique parade balloons.
To share their hard work, the two classes hosted their very own Thanksgiving parade, marching through the school hallways to showcase their handmade balloons to peers and teachers. The colorful and creative designs brought joy to everyone who watched, just like the real Macy's Parade!
This hands-on activity not only celebrated the holiday season but also encouraged teamwork, creativity and a sense of community among the students. Bravo to Mrs. Sansone, Mrs. Puglisi and their talented students for bring a little bit of Thanksgiving magic to the school!
