Mr. David LoConte has been a very active member of the community in Stratford for many years. He was President of the Franklin School PTA from 1993 through 1996, President of the Bunnell High School Marching Band Parents Organization in 2003, former Stratford Little League Coach, and Co-Founder of the Cub Scout Pack 179, as well as a committee member of Boy Scouts Troops 179 and 72.

Presently, Mr. LoConte serves on the following Board of Education committees: Charimen’s Committee, Finance Committee, Personnel Committee and the School Plant and Planning Committee.  He is presently the PTA Council Appointee from the Board, a delegate to the Recreation Committee for the Town of Stratford, and he is a voting delegate to the town’s Building Needs Committee.

 Mr. LoConte serves on the Board because his highest priority is our children’s success. He is seeing great things happening in Stratford, including a larger percentage of graduates going on to higher education, more cooperation between the Board of Education, PTAs and parents, improved relations with Town Hall, a greater emphasis on the reading program, and a greater sense of community and pride in Stratford’s schools and neighborhoods.
